The Grammy Nominated album, "Please God - Protect Me from your Followers" reviewed. THE INCREDIBLE DOLLFACE Please God - Protect Me From Your Followers NEW FUTURE RECORDS Featuring one of my favorite CD titles this year that appeals to my Atheist beliefs, this is the latest offering from veteran New York rocker Scotty Dee of the Incredible Dollface. If you're longing for the analog sound that these current neo-garage bands are trying to ape, grab this disc. Drenched in Sir George Martin production techniques this disc captures that late Sixties sound complete with ambient between track noise and crazy backwards tracking guitar work. Produced by both Scotty Dee and Perry Montauredes at Black Horse Studios, the two have managed to capture a warm analog sound using the latest digital equipment. Standout track includes the ode to New York City, 'New York (the phattest town around)' with plenty of groovy love and wicked backward guitar work. The other track I really dig is 'Cool' with it's biting indictment of those people that just have to be cooler than thou (you know the type)! 'You're My Chick' is a fun throwback, with a great vocal exchange between Scotty Dee and Erotida Cruz. So if that Sixties sound is what your craving - grab this disc Daddy-O!
